Crocodiles vs People: A Possible Solution?

dinosaurs, but they have survived their reptilian relatives by 65 million years. All 23 species
were listed as endangered in 1971, but only seven remain so designated. In 2000, it was
discovered that crocodile cartilage possesses the same anti-tumor bioactivity as does shark
cartilage. Preservation of the crocodile could be important for more than only the
ecosystems in which they live. Management in Australia has demonstrated that crocodiles
and humans can indeed coexist, without undue strain on either the crocodiles or the
