Perception of Emotion in CBCT and IBCT
[ send me this paper ]
A 12 page research paper that addresses this topic. Couples therapy has become increasing popular for treating a wide variety of problems as therapists recognize that problems arise within the context of the client’s social and emotional environment (Ussher, 1990). Cognitive Behavioral Couple Therapy (CBCT) began in the late 1970s/early 1980s with the research and theory construction of Jacobson and Margolin in 1979 and Stuart in 1980 (Epstein, 2006). It provided precise clinical guidelines that facilitate offering effective aid to “distressed couples from an empirically supported social learning framework” (Epstein, 2006, p. 339). However, while CBCT helped many couples, this method of couple therapy also presented challenges, as “outcome studies” sowed that behavioral interventions did not produce “statistically or clinically significant improvement,” as relapses were noted at follow-up evaluations (Epstein, 2006, p. 339). Bibliography lists 14 sources.

Personal Interview: Advantages And Conditions Of Being Accurate And Usable Information For A Research Study
[ send me this paper ]
3 pages in length. One of the most advantageous conditions where a personal interview provides the most accurate and usable information for a study is when qualitative methodology is guiding the research. Unlike its quantitative counterpart, qualitative analysis strives to reach deep into the human element of the study's subjects and draw forth a more authentic reply from respondents. The inherent value of a personal interview for qualitative purposes is such that it incorporates more than merely a vacant sheet of data-filled paper or sterile telephone interchange; rather, it provides a well-rounded sensory interpretation the respondent typically offers without realization, a factor that serves to readily enhance the overall interview outcome. Bibliography lists 4 sources.

Personal Values, Ethical Codes And Legal Issues In Human Services

6 pages in length. The fundamental nature of Human Services reflects a combination of competency, values, ethics and a core understanding of how the impact of one's words has the ability to completely alter another person's life; with so much power and persuasion, it stands to reason why professionals in this industry have to answer to a higher attribution of values and ethics. Not only must one's personal values stand independent from those that define Human Services, but they must also cohere with those same industry values as a means by which to create a synergistic approach to moral and principled application. depended on them to provide protection against invasion by outside forces. More described a
